Tips for a Perfect Fit & Success

• Secure the Fit: For a secure fit, you must use the included optional leg band. This prevents your bird from pulling the bootie off and ensures it stays in place during activity.
• Measure, Don't Guess: Poultry feet vary wildly! A bootie that is too loose will fall off, and one that is too tight can cut off circulation. Please use our measuring guide before ordering.
• Summer Safety (Chickens): Chickens cool themselves through their feet. Do not use the full "closed" Birdy Bootie in extreme heat. We strongly recommend using our open-toe Chicken Sandal style during hot weather to allow for airflow and prevent overheating.
• The "High Step" is Normal: When you first put them on, your bird might lift their legs high or freeze. This is normal! They usually adjust within a few minutes.
• Let it Breathe: We recommend removing the booties at night (if the injury allows) to let the foot air out and keep the skin healthy.

How to Measure Your Bird's Feet
